Why did it take a Democrat?

Senator Ron Wyden (D-Oregon), from my original home state, has proposed a "simpler, flatter, fairer" Tax Reform package.

This has been a grassroots Republican issue for some time, unfortunately, the powers that be in D.C. have merely paid it lip service in an attempt to sate the rank & file.

As of yet, I have not poured through the proposal, the fact that it is from Sen. Wyden, I am dubious, but I will give hime the benefit of the doubt and say that at least at first appearance, it seems to be a good start.
