Desperate Democrats Jilt the Judiciary

This is delicious. Senate minority leader Sen. Harry Reid feels the walls coming in. Now, out of the goodness of his heart said "Let's try cooperation, rather than confrontation, which seems to be the hallmark of what we've been doing here lately." The confrontation has been solely on the part of the dems against the Presidents judicial nominations.

Sen. Reid wants to "step away from the precipice". Admit it Senator, they are calling your bluff and you just don't have a winning hand.

Majority leader, Sen. Bill Frist, M.D., is finally holding the line and will implement the "constitutional option" and force an up or down vote for these exceptionally qualified nominees, many of whom are minorities.

Article II, Sec. 2 of the Constitution (not the living, breathing on Gore likes to imagine) provides the President the Power to nominate members of the judiciary with the advice and consent of the Senate.

All that has been repeated innumerable times in the MSM. The thing that is not mentioned is that when describing the powers of the Executive is that while the Constitution does require a 2/3 vote for Treaties, all nominees are mentioned separately and require only the Advice & Consent of the Senate.

So, lets not hear anymore about the "Nuclear Option", it is and should be referred to as the "Constitutional Option".
